Ammonia Persulfate Results
It did a pretty good job etching some of the copper/brass like this:
The roughness in the etched portions is do to small bubbles that form. I etch face down so I didn't see what was happening. Cool effect that I may use is another project.
But on the Aaron's belt tip the ammonia was removing the resist after about 30 minutes so I had remove the copper sooner than I wanted to. Hence, a shallow etch.
Then it totally destroyed another etch. Destroyed.
I think this occurred because I wasn't able to hold the ammonia persulfate at the target temperature. So it wasn't a quick etch and gave the ammonia persulfate time to work under the resist. More experiments needed.
Alliance 10th Anniversary Plaques
Project X is finished. Here are the results.Hope everyone likes them. They are 2" tall and about 7" long. I made them to fit at the back of a belt. Before sending them I can punch rivet holes if requested.
