2" x 1.5" Brass

The vinegar and salt wasn't doing anything visible to this etch for some reason. Very strange, so I green scrubbed it with soap and water. Then used open flame to oxidize it. Then I went a different direction with the patina. Which I'm glad I did.

Bought a much larger plastic etch tank with a lid. Walmart $4. It came in a pack of two. Sweet deal.

I bought a heating pad to help keep the temperature of the etchant up after the initial heating with hot water. I think it is working well although this bottle of etchant is just about exhausted. I may try and slip over to IMS(metal supply) to pick up some more material.

I'm planning to do a much larger etch of this.

Just read a link on using hard boiled eggs to patina the brass. Will try that in the future.
